Rossmoor is a secure gated community 24/7, maintained by Securitas Company, and is patrolled regularly by their own safety officers, supplemented by the Walnut Creek Police Department.

MEDICAL FACILITIES

Just outside Rossmoor lies an out-patient fee for service medical clinic staffed by qualified doctors and nurses affiliated with The John Muir Group. Assisted living, convalescent hospital and residential care facilities also are within a few blocks of the Rossmoor community.

EDUCATION CLASSES, CLUBS, ORGANIZATIONS

Rossmoor offers over 200 clubs and organizations for nearly any taste or interest. Musical groups abound, including the Rossmoor Organ Melody Makers, Rossmoor Community Band, Sweet Adelines and Mixed Chorus. There are chapters of the Kiwanis, Lions, Rotary and Shriners associations in Rossmoor. Organized bridge groups, as well as those for gin rummy, canasta, cribbage, chess and pool cater to every ability level. Computer, dance, art and music appreciation are among topics offered at Rossmoor. There is also a 150-seat movie theater at Peacock Hall, which shows free movies to residents and guests.
