Rossmoor Clubhouses

There are five clubhouses scattered throughout Rossmoor. Each is unique and serves a variety of purposes.

Gateway Clubhouse

Gateway Clubhouse07-640.jpgGateway Clubhouse was the first clubhouse, and was remodeled several years ago with many modern amenities. The Gateway Clubhouse area actually is made up of a number of buildings, each with their own function.

The Golden Rain Administration Center is located here, and houses the Board of Directors, office staff, the Recreation Department, Counseling Department, and other offices of the Golden Rain Foundation.

The main Gateway building includes a spacious living room with fireplace where people congregate daily to read the newspaper, do jigsaw puzzles, use the computer room, visit the library, socialize with others, or grab a light breakfast or lunch.

Peacock Hall is adjacent to the Fireside Room and houses the 150-seat movie theatre where free movies are shown to residents and guests. The courtyard area is surrounded by a couple of activity wings which include the Art room, photography dark room, woodworking, lapidary/jewelry workshop, sewing room, ceramics/pottery studio, meeting rooms, and billiard room.

Del Valle Clubhouse

PA-MZ Jan2008 035.JPGThe Del Valle Clubhouse is "fitness central". There is a wonderful exercise facility with every kind of equipment imaginable and free weights. Exercise classes are held here regularly. A trainer is available to tailor an exercise program specifically for your needs.

There is a renovated  swimming complex at Del Valle which was completed Summer of 2007. It has a retractable roof which can be opened during warm weather, and closed during inclement weather. There is both a pool for lap swimming and another pool for water exercises. Of course, you can just lounge in the hot tub if you prefer.

Hillside Clubhouse

Hillside Clubhouse.jpgHillside Clubhouse serves a variety of activities with:

  • Several expandable rooms for meetings and get-togethers.
  • Grassy area in front for our champion lawn bowlers.
  • Two grassy parks with picnic areas, built-in barbeque, and horseshoe pits.
  • Facility for table tennis activities.
  • Beautiful pool surrounded by lush green lawn and trees.

Dollar Clubhouse

Dollar Clubhouse is actually the former home of Stanley Dollar, of the steamship lines. It has been preserved and is the setting for many meetings and special events. There is a lovely outdoor patio for summer gatherings, and a beautiful swimming pool and pool-house. It sits next to one of several parks which hosts our popular 4th of July family events, as well as band concerts and other get-togethers.

Creekside Clubhouse

Creekside Clubhouse is home to "golf central". The new Pro Shop is housed here which directs the activities of the driving range and two golf courses - an 18-hole and a 9-hole course. The new Creekside Grill is also now complete, and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Tuesday thru Sunday.
